What you see here is a very well executed and almost production ready-looking concept study penned as a replacement for the Mitsubishi Colt supermini, which was sent to Carscoop by independent designer Gábor Farkas. Called the Mitsubishi CS, the Ford Fiesta-sized concept model blends select styling cues from the Japanese brand's most recent models such as the Lancer's so-called shark nose with an aggressive body shape boasting curvalicious details. Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Online Test Drive is GTA IV with Only One Car and No Crime

Written By nyit on Friday, October 8, 2010 | 10:13 AM

Clearly taking its inspiration from those throwaway iPhone / iPod games loved so much by Volkswagen and its subsidiaries, the North American arm of Mitsubishi Motors will let a select few test drive the new Outlander Sport compact [called ASX in Europe] remotely through "Mitsubishi Live Drive".

In a world first, customers will be able to take the compact crossover around a closed circuit course, controlling the actually vehicle through an "interactive remote control" from the comfort of their own internet-connected PCs. I wonder what a "non-interactive remote control" would be...

When developing the Live Drive experience, Mitsubishi consulted robotics expert, Dr. James Brighton who was instrumental in constructing the online test drive program

What if Citroen Made a C3 Crosser out of the Mitsubishi ASX?

Written By nyit on Friday, January 29, 2010 | 7:18 AM

Given the close relationship between the Peugeot Citroen PSA group and Mitsubishi that has already given birth to the Outlander-based Citroen C Crosser and Peugeot 4007 SUVs, we wouldn't be surprised if Theophilus Chin's photoshop proposal for a Citroen C3 Crosser model based on Mitsubishi's 'baby' crossover model, the all-new ASX, becomes a reality in a couple of years.

'ASX' is the name that Mitsubishi chose for the European version of the JDM RVR that will have its world premiere at this year's edition of the Geneva Motor Show in early March.

Mitsubishi ASX Compact Crossover: Euro Spec Version of RVR Revealed

Written By nyit on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 | 10:22 AM

What Japanese buyers will come to know as the RVR when the compact crossover goes on sale in its home market in February will be sold in Europe as the ASX. The digitally enhanced photos show only a few minor differences between the two models, the most important being the black finish on the ASX's front and rear bumper inserts, grille and rocker panels as well as the addition of turning signals on the exterior mirrors.

The Outlander's smaller brother will be offered in Europe with various powertrains including an all-new Euro 5-compliant 1.8L turbocharged direct-injection diesel engine with Stop & Go technology that's linked to a six-speed manual transmission.

The ASX will have its European premiere at the at the Geneva Salon in the beginning of March with sales set to follow from late Spring 2010.

New Mitsubishi RVR: First Official Photos of Compact Crossover, Positioned Under the Outlander

Written By nyit on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 | 6:19 PM

These are the first official images of Mitsubishi's all-new compact crossover which bears the name 'RVR'. With this model, the Japanese automaker expands its crossover lineup, which already includes the full-size Pajero (also known as Shogun and Montero in some markets), and the recently updated mid-size Outlander.

Inspired by the Japanese firm's 2007 cX concept, the RVR makes use of Mitsubishi's mid-size global platform, which also forms the basis for the Lancer and Outlander.

However, at 4.3 meters in length, the RVR is 365mm (14.4-in.) shorter than the current Outlander SUV.

The compact crossover model will be offered at launch with an all-new 1.8L MIVEC petrol engine, though it is almost certain that Mitsubishi will add a diesel variant for some markets in the near future.

Mitsubishi said that the RVR will be released globally, including North America, Europe, and Asian regions including China, with sales set to start first in Japan next Spring.
